New Site Live: Cycle-Street.co.uk

On Friday we officially launched cycle-street.co.uk to the masses. CycleStreet is Yorks latest and greatest ‘Local Bike Shop’. They already had a great social presence amongst Yorks cyclists via a very dedicated presence on Twitter but required a site where they could carry on this social interaction whilst listing special offers and highlighting key products that have arrived in store. CycleStreet never intended - for the time being at least -  to sell products through their site but instead to simply categorise the stock they have in store, so we kept that section of the site fairly simple. So instead we decided to try and be creative with the displaying of infomation from the blog/twitter feeds and categories from within the blog (see the home page for examples).

CycleStreet for us was a slightly different experience for us than most other clients. We normally capture a clients interest through our method of interaction with a client, by asking them to come in and have a chat to created a tailored solution to their problems rather than simply quoting a price and showing them a template, we like to engage with our clients. However with CycleStreet we were a little late to the party and Jon (CS’s owner) had already received 3 pitches from 3 York based companies so we decided to go in with a 4th to show him how we would do it and as a result of our design and pitch we beat off the 3 York Based companies and secured the job.

New Site Live: GetSneaky.co.uk

We’ve had the GetSneaky.co.uk website live for a week or two now but wanted a little time for it to settle before we shared it with you all. Sneaky is a Midlands based company that specialises in creating unique and beautiful pieces of jewellery and accessories out of found and unwanted household items. Due to the process and the source of the materials used, most items produced by sneaky are unique and one offs that cant be reproduced, making them an ideal present for family and friends, as well as a nice alternative for those looking to buy green and environmentally friendly products.

We worked with Sneaky from the ground up, working with them on the kind of audience they want to target with their branding and name through to their logo, website and online shop.

The logo was fun to work on with Sneaky as they were open to have some fun and be a little different with it, so we came up with the idea of  the logo being unique and forever changing like its products. The logo put simply is a circle (block colour or photograph of an object) with the world Sneaky in a random typeface located within a restricted area of the logo. As you browse through the site you will see how the logo changes.

Sneaky is a great company and one that we look forward to working with more in the future and helping them become the next big thing in alternative culture.

Updates and best mates

Wanted to chuck a quick update out there to prove we are still in existence. In fact we have set co-ordinates for the sun and are looking at total world dominance! It just takes time. No big deal.

We are all holed up at the moment working on a new ‘Social, location based service platform’ (try saying that with your mouth full). The build is coming along nicely and we anticipate launching a teaser presence shortly. We are in the process of negotiating start up funding with some excellent partners and this is both an intense learning curve and hell of a lot of fun. It’s what we do! New partners and new opportunities means new locations and we are looking in depth at cities and countries we can see our selves ‘lording it up’ in.

All this activity means we are all over the place mentally and physically as we explore all the potential that lays before us. There just aren’t enough hours in the day or zeros on our phone bill. Stick with us we will, very soon, be rocking your world.
